Product is used for remotely monitoring patient’s vital signs and for relaying critical information between rescuers and hospital staff. SDS was enlisted to integrate and arrange a variety of medical devices, computer, power management, and communications systems within an environmentally hardened case. The resulting design yielded a self-contained medical diagnostic unit that can be used by rescuers and the Coast Guard in remote and wilderness areas. Product design, enhancements, and integration were all performed utilizing SolidWorks. The unit is in final development stages.
